Halme Construction has completed many projects with “Mass Excavation” being a large part of the project. Halme has a Caterpillar D-8 dozer with GPS grade control which is a very effective way of moving dirt short distances and we have both scrapers and Articulating Off-Road Haul Trucks for the longer hauls. Halme pays special attention to cycle times and haul routes to create the most efficient dirt moving program before we even start the project. Once the plan has been established and the right equipment assigned for the right tasks, we implement the plan and make minor adjustments as needed to keep the cycle times up and the dirt moving. Our 163 Cat Grader and John Deere dozers with 3-D grade control prove to be very effective support equipment to keep the cuts and fills “on-grade” and the dirt moving.
